Women continue to be underrepresented in investing roles

  • Women hold approximately 33% of entry level investing roles per Investment Banking Council of America. 
  • According to a Columbia business school study, women only make up around 22% of total investing roles in US private equity and furthermore, only hold 6% of senior roles
  • Women represent 11% of investing partners at venture capital firms according to a Harvard Kennedy School Study
  • Per the same study, only 13% of venture capital dollars go to start ups with a woman on the founding team
